Feruza Jumaniyazova, the most expensive singer at Khorezm weddings, is 41 years old
On February 14, the famous singer Feruza Jumaniyazova, who won the love of her fans with the songs "Yalla habibi" and "Kel azizim", celebrated her 41st birthday. On this occasion, we will take a look at the inner world of the singer, who has been away from creativity for several years due to a "ban", gained excess weight due to stress, and is now actively returning to creativity.

Reason for creative break

— The reason for my creative break was that I gained weight. Before, I went on stage in an ideal appearance, so I began to feel ashamed of my appearance. I didn't want to appear in front of my fans in such a state. It would be a mistake to say that I was just busy raising children. That's why I only appeared at weddings. Satisfaction with my appearance is very important for a woman. God willing, I intend to give a concert on the big stage.

“When I was banned, I saw the true faces of people”

— There is a big difference between Feruza 20 years ago and Feruza now. Because I became a mother. I became a housewife. I don't regret it. There is a big difference between my previous and current worldview. I got to know people. My fans and friends, who were ready to give their lives for me when I was a star, abandoned me when I was banned. No one was left with me. On the one hand, being banned and staying there was a test for me. I got to know those around me better.

“We came to Tashkent with my mother sitting on the same bench”

— Our arrival in Tashkent was very interesting. When I look back, I cry and rejoice. At that time, I regretted becoming an artist. I would cry, saying, “Ayajon, why are we suffering?”. Now that I think about it, those days have become a memory for me. Now, when they ask me, “Will you go back to those days?”, I say, “I will go back,” without hesitation. You shouldn’t be afraid of difficulties in life. The difficulties I faced later served good purposes.

A singer who left medicine for art

— I studied at a medical college in the 1999s. I told Ayam, “I will become a singer.” Ayam said, “You should become a doctor, where did that come from?” I said, “Ayajon, I will be a good singer even if I become a singer.” Since Ayam is an artist herself, she said, “Okay, make me a song lyric, if I like it, I will agree.” My mother expected me to sing a Khorezm song. But I wanted to sing in the pop direction. My mother said, “This is a difficult road. The capital is a river, and we are a small ditch. Don’t set your goal so big.” But I didn’t give in.

First steps into art

— Winning first place wasn’t the goal I was expecting. After the audition, we went home. Later, the “Yulduz Show” was held. That’s when they called us. After that, luck smiled, and creativity began.

“The difficulties began after I arrived in Tashkent”

— There were a lot of financial difficulties. My mother and I were sitting on the same seat on the bus from Khorezm to Tashkent. I remember one day, I was sitting on my mother’s lap, my mother was very tired, and she asked the soldier boy sitting next to us to give me a seat for a moment and stand up. He refused, saying, “I’ve been through service too, and I’m tired, auntie.” So I sat on my mother’s lap until we reached our destination. At that time, we didn’t have money to buy a ticket for two seats. Now that I think about it, these difficulties were nothing compared to the difficulties I faced after we arrived in Tashkent. There were all kinds of slander. You are the virgin daughter of a mother. Imagine how hard it would be for your mother if they told you, “Your daughter went with my husband,” “No one can be a friend to a person except a mother”

— You can find friends in art, but not among artists. Because an artist can never be a friend to an artist. I don’t believe that one person can be a friend to another. Only a mother can be a friend to a person. I have never found a friend like my mother in life.

For your information, Feruza Jumaniyazova’s mother, Zuhra Jumaniyazova, died in April 2024.

“I will not forgive betrayal”

— If a person violates my trust, I close the doors of my heart to them. When I see them, I can say hello. But that person is a closed door for me. If a person betrays you, how can you take them into your home and put them in jail? I had fans who would give their lives for me, who would write me letters, and students who said they would die without you. But when the time came, they didn't invite me to their wedding, they didn't even bother to write me a single SMS.

Unexpected "ban"

— In 2007, I was banned. I was giving a concert at the Friendship of Peoples, banners were hanging, and advertisements were running. “The concert has been canceled, you’re banned,” they said. “Why? What’s the reason?” I said. No one answered my questions. 6-7 years passed, but the ban was not lifted. There was no place my mother and I didn’t go, no door we didn’t knock on. But we didn’t hear a clear answer. Not knowing the reason for the ban can make a person depressed. That’s when I got my first stress and started gaining weight. My fans would ask when you were going to give a concert, and I couldn’t answer them. Maybe I should have continued my work in that situation, but I was depressed and couldn’t get out of shock.

Who is the happiest woman?

— The happiest woman is the one who managed to keep her family. Even if she doesn't have money, an expensive car, a house, or even a beautiful dress, I think a woman with a husband and children is the happiest woman in the world.

For your information, one of Feruza Jumaniyazova's hit songs, "Yalla Habibi," has been performed in Uzbek by representatives of different nationalities. In particular, this song has also been performed by a girl of Arab origin named Leyla.

The version of the song performed by 15-year-old Yumna Ajin from India has also become quite popular.

“Birrov” service is the most expensive Khorezm singer

According to reports, Feruza Jumaniyazova costs $5,000 to enter Khorezm weddings and sing for half an hour. This is the most expensive price compared to other Khorezm singers. In particular, Ogabek Sobirov, who is described as the “Nightingale of Khorezm”, goes to Khorezm weddings for $3,000.
