Microsoft's new AI system proved 4× more accurate than doctors
Microsoft’s research team unveiled breakthrough results, reports Rozetked. Their new system, MAI Diagnostic Orchestrator (MAI-DxO), combines several models — including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Grok — to simulate a multi-expert medical consultation.

The system achieved four times the diagnostic accuracy of human doctors, correctly identifying 4 out of 5 cases, while doctors averaged just one. Additionally, it reduced the cost of diagnosis by 20%, thanks to more cost-efficient testing and procedure recommendations.

Microsoft’s head of AI, Mustafa Suleyman, called the tool “a real step toward medical superintelligence.” According to sources, Microsoft plans to integrate the technology into Bing to offer users direct access to accurate health insights.

MIT researcher David Sontag called the system exciting, but advised caution, noting that participating doctors were not allowed to use supporting tools. He also emphasized that AI lacks real-world medical experience, which limits the reliability of its judgments.
