Famed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino revealed his top ten films of the 21st century during the “The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast.” The top spot on the list was given to Ridley Scott's "Black Hawk Down." According to Tarantino, this action movie is the work most akin to the spirit of "Apocalypse Now" of today.
In second place, as acknowledged by Tarantino, is the animated film "Toy Story 3." The director emphasized that its sequel comes close to perfection.
The melancholic film "Lost in Translation" by Sofia Coppola ranked third in Tarantino's list. Following closely are Christopher Nolan's "Dunkirk" and Paul Thomas Anderson's epic drama "There Will Be Blood." Tarantino noted that while he initially did not rate "Dunkirk" very highly, repeated viewings have led him to deeply appreciate it.
The director also remarked that he was surprised the creator of the movie "Battle Royale" did not sue the makers of "The Hunger Games" trilogy over plagiarism.
Tarantino’s highly regarded films demonstrate their exceptional quality, storytelling, and gripping plots, once again highlighting the recognition of true artistry in cinema.
