The response to US President Donald Trump's threat to "return Iran to the Stone Age" was given by Majid Mousavi, commander of the Aerospace Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). He sharply criticized the American leader's speech, writing, "You want to throw Iran into the Stone Age, but in reality you are leading your soldiers to the grave. Hollywood movies have poisoned your minds so much that you are threatening a 6,000-year-old rich civilization with your 250-year-old worthless history."
Mehdi Tabatabai, deputy public relations officer for the Iranian presidential administration, also denied the threat, saying, "Iran and the Stone Age are separated by thousands of years. If we are talking about returning to the Stone Age, they are very close to the finish line in this matter."
Let us recall that in his address to the Americans, Trump emphasized that by leaving Iran without electricity, he would throw the country into the "Stone Age" and that if this was not done, all power plants would be severely damaged.
This incident further demonstrates the political and strategic contradictions between the two countries and is a serious signal to the international community.
