Record in Tashkent Metro: 1.1 million passengers served in one day'rsatildi

A new record for passenger transportation has been set in the Tashkent Metro. On May 8, 2026, more than 1 million citizens used the metro service.

According to the Tashkent Metro state unitary enterprise, a total of 1,117,061 passengers were transported on that date. This is being recorded as one of the highest figures for the capital's metro.

Metro representatives stated that passenger flow usually increases significantly on Thursdays and Fridays. Therefore, congestion at stations and on trains may be more noticeable on these days.
