According to our weekly analysis based on the exchange rates published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during the third working week of September 2025, the exchange rate of 1 US dollar against the national currency – the soum – decreased by 132.64 soums.
Weekly dynamics
The dollar-to-soum exchange rate underwent certain fluctuations during the week. In particular, a significant decline was observed in the first half of the week:

This downward trend during these days may be related to international market dynamics, import-export operations, and changes in domestic demand.
In the second half of the week, however, an increase was recorded:

As a result, the overall weekly change of 1 US dollar was positive for the national currency, ending with a decrease of 132.64 soums.
The Central Bank shapes exchange rates based on market mechanisms, aiming to maintain stability in economic processes. Such fluctuations in the exchange rate are considered an indicator of the global economic environment, foreign trade volumes, and the level of domestic economic activity.
