Sony has officially confirmed the launch date for its next flagship smartphone. According to the company, the new device will be unveiled on May 13. Sony has generated significant interest by referring to this model as the "next One" and "next Xperia," as reported by Ixbt.com reports .
It is speculated that the new Xperia 1 VI will feature a redesigned look. The device is expected to have a square camera module and a slightly wider and thicker body compared to its predecessor. The smartphone will also be equipped with a new telephoto lens, a 16mm ultra-wide lens, and a 24mm primary camera.
Technically, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and 12 GB of RAM. The manufacturer promises that the battery life will last for two days of use. According to preliminary information, sales of the device may begin on June 26.
Some details regarding pricing have also emerged. The smartphone is expected to retail for around 1870 euros in Germany and 1728 pounds sterling in the UK. With its new flagship, Sony aims to further strengthen its position in the premium smartphone market.
