Currently, the portfolio of joint projects between Uzbekistan and the ADB exceeds $15 billion, making the ADB one of Uzbekistan's largest partners in the region. The sides also discussed preparations for the ADB Board of Governors’ annual meeting, scheduled to take place in Samarkand in May 2026.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed signing a new program of expanded strategic cooperation during this event.
