Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is strengthening year by year. According to the results of January-September 2025, the volume of exports of the neighboring country to Uzbekistan reached $2.5 billion. This represents a significant 26 percent increase compared to the same period last year. It is particularly noteworthy that our country occupies a leading position among the main buyers of Kazakhstani products in Central Asia.
If we look at the structure of exports, we can see a sharp increase in the volume of agricultural product deliveries. For example, soft wheat exports grew by 20.2% over the year, reaching $479.4 million. This figure reflects new trends in food security and raw material trade between the two countries.
A record figure was also recorded for sunflower and safflower oil imported from Kazakhstan - the volume of imports increased several times and reached $170.8 million. This is the largest sector of the year with a growth rate of 124.2 percent.
Positive dynamics were also observed for metal products. In particular, the export of copper bars increased almost fourfold, reaching $124.5 million. Such growth means increased demand in industrial cooperation and processing industries.
At the same time, a decline was noted in other major markets of Kazakhstan: exports to European countries decreased by 8%, and deliveries to Russia - by 16%. This situation shows that trade relations with the countries of Central Asia are developing especially actively.
Overall, economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is reaching a new level. The current trends mean that the volume of trade between the two countries will increase in the coming years and will serve to strengthen regional economic integration.
