In a video rapidly spreading on the social network Instagram, Uzbek judoka, two-time Asian champion and three-time World Championship medalist Diyora Keldiyorova sincerely talks about her life path and the difficulties she has faced since childhood.
In the video, she says:
"I didn’t like the winter season. Because I didn’t have sneakers. To run, I would put on a rolled plastic bag outside and train like that. I had nothing in my hands that could change my life except sport. It was this sport that gave me strength and changed my destiny."
According to Diyora, she was born into a simple working family and always grew up with hard work:
"My parents always told me: ‘If you get in on a grant, we will educate you.’ And sport helped me get a grant, travel abroad, and most importantly — set a big goal in life."
In her speech, she directs the following inspiring words to all women and girls:
"Know this, women, girls — you may not have material opportunities in your life, but your inner strength is very great. This strength was given to us by Almighty Allah. Just believe in yourself and take bold steps forward."
Diyora’s touching and heartfelt words left a strong impression among fans and the wider public, and thousands of messages of support are pouring in for her.
