The full list of teams in Pot 1 for the group stage draw of the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been announced. On Monday, five more European national teams joined the list of World Cup participants.
Thus, the total of 12 teams assigned to Pot 1 has been finalized. The tournament hosts—the United States, Canada, and Mexico—secured the first three spots. Meanwhile, European teams such as Spain, England, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, and France have also been included in Pot 1.
Additionally, traditional representatives from South America—Brazil and Argentina—have been placed in the first pot. The draw is scheduled to take place on December 5.
The matches of the final stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup are set to be held from June 11 to July 19 next year. As of now, 39 out of 48 participants have been confirmed.
