Valeriy Nepomnyashchiy Comments on Russian Football Players

Renowned coach Valery Nepomnyashchiy expressed high praise for the current generation of the Russian national football team. According to the expert, these players are capable of competing at a European level.

"I believe that we currently have a generation of players who can compete at the European level," Nepomnyashchiy said in an interview with the "Championship" publication. It is known that due to sanctions imposed by UEFA and FIFA against the Russian Football Union, the Russian national team is currently limited to playing only friendly matches.

In November, the team led by Valery Karpin played a 1-1 draw against Peru, followed by a 0-2 defeat to the Chilean national team. These were the Russian national team’s last matches of 2025.
