The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has placed Uzbekistan's National Anti-Doping Agency (UzNADA) on a special watchlist. This decision was made based on violations identified during an inspection conducted in February 2025.
UzNADA, for its part, announced that it has developed a plan to address the shortcomings within four months. "If the deficiencies are not rectified within the specified period, WADA will automatically issue an official notification and outline the conditions for reinstatement," the agency’s statement read.
WADA is an international organization dedicated to combating the use of doping in sports. The agency develops unified anti-doping rules, publishes the list of prohibited substances, coordinates testing, and provides support to national organizations.
