Dr. Hasan Turut, head of Rizespor's medical center, provided official information regarding the current condition of Husniddin Aliqulov, who suffered an injury during the game against Gyoztepe and was unable to continue the match.
According to the specialist, the defender felt pain after an awkward fall with a curved left knee in a game on January 19 and was forced to leave the field. After that, the football player underwent the necessary medical examinations, tests, and instrumental diagnostics.
According to the examination results, Alikulov was diagnosed with a rupture of the ACL-anterior intersecting ligament in the left knee. A complex patellar injury was also noted: patellar subluxation (half-luxation of the patella) and associated damage to the MPFL (patellar ligament). In addition, signs of rupture, bleeding, and edema were noted in both the internal and external menisci.
Based on this situation, the medical council decided to perform a surgical operation. According to the club, it may take approximately 6-9 months for the 26-year-old defender to fully recover and return to the field.
Thus, after such an incident, Husniddin Alikulov could miss the World Cup with the national team.
This news is certainly difficult for Rizespor fans and Uzbekistan fans. But even after such injuries, many players have returned to football and returned to their previous level. Most importantly, if the operation and rehabilitation plan are fully and correctly executed, Aliqulov could return to the field stronger. The fans have only one task left: to mentally support the defender and wish him a speedy recovery.
