On January 8 at 05:02 (Tashkent time), in Serie A Round 19, Inter defeated Parma away 2–0. The result allowed the Milan club to keep first place in the standings and maintain a comfortable gap over their rivals.
From the opening minutes, Inter took control of possession and the pace. The hosts defended in a low block and tried to capitalize on the opponent’s mistakes. The Nerazzurri steadily increased pressure down the flanks, kept searching for chances, and were rewarded just before the break.
Dimarco opened the scoring: he joined the attack from the left flank and placed a precise shot into the near corner. The ball hit the post and went in past goalkeeper Corvi.
In the second half, Parma tried to raise their attacking intensity, but Inter kept more of the ball and slowed the tempo. The Milan side did not rush and played while controlling the scoreline.
In stoppage time, the visitors broke on the counter. A goal was first disallowed after VAR for handball. Soon after, Barella played a pinpoint pass to Thuram, and the striker made the most of a one-on-one to seal the final score.
