Cannavaro congratulates our youth team on their fighting victory

Uzbekistan national team head coach Fabio Cannavaro has reacted to the U-17 national team's crucial victory in the Asian Cup. The Italian specialist personally congratulated our young players after their triumph over South Korea.
At the AFC U-17 Asian Cup held in Saudi Arabia, the Uzbekistan U-17 national team faced South Korea in the quarterfinals. After a tense and uncompromising match in regular time, the outcome was decided by a penalty shootout. Our representatives showed composure at the most critical moment, defeating their opponents to advance to the semifinals.
Fabio Cannavaro assessed this victory not only as a sporting result but as an example of the fighting spirit in Uzbek football. He emphasized that the young players fought until the end, did not succumb to pressure, and believed in their abilities.
“We are proud of our U-17 national team! The boys demonstrated the fighting spirit typical of Uzbeks and deservedly reached the semifinals. I congratulate the coaching staff, the players, and everyone who contributed to this success. Keep it up, boys!” said Cannavaro.
This congratulation is naturally a special psychological boost for the young players. The attention and recognition from the national team head coach serve as a great source of confidence for the teenagers. Such words encourage the players to act even more boldly in upcoming matches.
The victory of the Uzbekistan U-17 team against South Korea was met with great joy by fans as well. Our youth played a worthy game against a strong opponent and displayed character and resilience in the penalty shootout.
Now another serious test awaits our representatives. The Uzbekistan U-17 national team will face Japan in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup semifinals. Japan is considered one of the most disciplined, technically strong, and fast teams in youth football.
Therefore, it is clear that the semifinal will not be easy. However, the victory over Korea has given our players great morale and confidence. The main task now is to maintain this fighting spirit, play calmly on the pitch, and take another bold step toward the final.
In short, both Cannavaro and the fans believe in our youth. Now it is up to the players: the Korea stage is behind us, and the Japan test lies ahead. The spirit is high, the goal is big, and the road leads to the final.
