The Chinese premium automotive brand Hongqi has confirmed the launch of its flagship Guoya sedan in the Russian market. Also known by the index L1, the model's debut is scheduled for the end of the first half of 2026. The new vehicle will be offered with two powerful engines developed in-house by the brand. The entry-level version is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine producing 380 hp, reaching 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. The more powerful modification features a 4.0-liter V8 engine, delivering 476 hp and 680 Nm of torque, allowing it to hit 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
In terms of dimensions, the Guoya belongs to the flagship sedan class: it is 5353 mm long, 1998 mm wide, with a wheelbase of 3260 mm. Hongqi positions this model as a direct competitor to the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. It is also expected to be a worthy alternative to German cars such as the Audi A8 Horch and the BMW 7 Series.
The interior is finished with Nappa leather and high-end wood trim. Rear passengers enjoy massage and ventilation functions, as well as individual screens. The equipment list also includes a premium audio system, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, and an active noise cancellation system.
