According to Pepelac.news, a research team led by Prof. Jin Jin at East China University has developed a system that enables four-legged robots to be controlled using brain activity alone.
This “hybrid brain-machine interface” uses augmented reality (AR) for short-distance tasks and mixed reality for long-distance navigation.
The system is adaptable and can be used in healthcare for robotic prosthetics or in industry for inspections in hazardous environments.
The breakthrough showcases the potential of integrating brain activity with robotics, bringing advanced human-machine interaction closer to daily life.
