According to our weekly analysis based on the exchange rates announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during the upcoming working week of 2025, the US dollar rose by 23.85 soums against the national currency – the soum.
Weekly dynamics
The exchange rate of the dollar against the soum experienced certain changes during the week. In particular, a sharp increase was observed in the first half of the week:
Monday: −19.27 soums
Tuesday: +84.07 soums
Wednesday: +78.98 soums
The growth during these days may be related to dynamics in international markets, import-export operations, and changes in domestic demand.
In the second half of the week, a decline in the rate was recorded:
Thursday: −19.76 soums
Friday: −100.17 soums
As a result, the total weekly change in the US dollar was negative for the national currency, ending with an increase of 23.85 soums.
The Central Bank forms exchange rates based on market mechanisms and aims to maintain stability in economic processes.
