Oppo has announced the official launch date for the Reno 16 smartphone series. The new devices will be presented to the public on May 25 at 18:00 local time. The lineup is expected to include the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro models. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
The smartphones will feature modern OLED displays. The Reno 16 model will have a 6.32-inch screen, while the Pro version will sport a 6.78-inch display. Both devices support adaptive refresh rates. MediaTek platforms have been chosen for performance: the base model runs on the Dimensity 8550, while the Pro version is powered by the more powerful Dimensity 9500s chip.
A key advantage of the new smartphones will be their battery capacity. The devices will be equipped with a 7000 mAh battery and 80W fast charging technology. The Pro version may also feature 50W wireless charging.
Camera capabilities are also expected to be at a flagship level. The smartphones will be equipped with a triple-module system: a 200 MP primary Samsung sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50 MP telephoto lens. These specifications are expected to make the Reno 16 series one of the most competitive devices on the market.
