Russian companies face the problem of "shadow" artificial intelligence

Many companies in Russia are facing problems related to employees secretly using artificial intelligence technologies in their workflow. According to Beeline CEO Sergey Anokhin, 25% of enterprises in the country have fully integrated AI technologies into their commercial processes, and another 20% are actively working in this direction. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
The results of the study show that 37% of organizations use artificial intelligence from time to time, and 17% have just started exploring new technologies. The study involved top managers from more than 70 large companies operating in the industrial, financial, retail, and construction sectors.
Experts are warning about the danger of "shadow" artificial intelligence (Shadow AI). Employees are using ChatGPT and other neural networks to perform work tasks while bypassing company policies. This significantly increases the risk of corporate and personal data leaks.
Natalya Kaspersky, president of the InfoWatch group of companies, noted that confidential information is ending up on foreign servers. There, this data can be used to train artificial intelligence models or be transferred to third parties, which is a serious threat from a cybersecurity perspective.
