A 33 km green corridor to be created in Tashkent
The Tashkent administration plans to establish a 33-kilometer-long "green corridor" by 2026. This was stated in the decision issued by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

By April next year, the city administration will develop the "Green Tashkent" master plan. According to the project, 700 modern public spaces will be created, and infrastructure for cyclists will be developed.

Additionally, the Ministry of Construction is required to clean decorative fountains and double their number within two weeks. The ministry will also analyze all pollution sources.

Residents of the capital will be involved in environmental monitoring processes through the Air Monitoring Uzbekistan platform. Among other initiatives, automated monitoring stations will be implemented: 347 new stations will be introduced, with 23 of them installed in schools.
