A temporary restriction on methane gas stations has been introduced in Uzbekistan since January 8

A temporary restriction on the operation of methane gas stations will be introduced in Uzbekistan. The reason for this is a decrease in pressure in the main gas pipelines, therefore, a number of necessary measures are being taken to stabilize the supply of natural gas. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

It is noted that the priority task is the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to households and social facilities. In this regard, temporary restrictions are being introduced on the operation of gas stations based on schedules agreed with local authorities.

According to the Ministry of Energy, starting January 8, gas stations across the republic will operate from 10:00 to 16:00. In the Fergana Valley, the operating hours of methane gas stations are determined based on gas pressure and in agreement with local authorities.

The Ministry also noted that during periods of low gas pressure, the provision of natural gas to the population, public transport, and socially significant facilities will be prioritized. The priority is the stable operation of public transport, meeting the needs of social institutions and the population.

Therefore, based on the general state of gas supply, pressure level, and consumption volume, the operating mode of methane gas stations will be determined in coordination with local authorities. It was noted that these measures are being implemented in order to ensure the rational use of gas resources and stable supply.

It is reported that these restrictions are temporary, and practical work is currently underway to normalize gas pressure.
