The Munich club completely overwhelmed their opponents, with Michael Olise scoring a brace and two own goals added by the “Wolves.” Luis Díaz, Raphaël Guerreiro, Harry Kane and Leon Goretzka also scored one each.
“A very nice feeling. We were determined to deliver a high-quality performance in our first home game of the year, and we did it excellently. We’re very satisfied,” Neuer told DAZN.
The goalkeeper stressed the importance of every player’s role in the team: “Everyone wants to contribute as much as possible. We always push to score again and again — the results show that. We have to keep going in the same spirit.”
Vincent Kompany’s side will face Köln on January 14.
