An attempt to illegally export gold bullion was uncovered at the border

According to the Tashkent Regional Customs Department, a citizen who entered the “Navoi” border customs post on foot while passing through customs control was subjected to a personal search by a customs officer in accordance with the established procedure due to suspicious circumstances observed in his actions.

As a result of the personal search, gold bullion weighing a total of 1,028 grams was found on the citizen’s body. The total value of these gold items seized as material evidence amounted to 1 billion 312 million soums.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated by the customs authorities on this case and appropriate procedural actions are being taken.
