Interesting statistics regarding births in Uzbekistan for the first three months of 2026 have been released. According to the National Statistics Committee, 14 men over the age of 70 became fathers between January and March.

It is noted that a total of 191,086 live births were registered across the republic in the first quarter of this year. This figure indicates that demographic processes in the country remain active.

An analysis of births by age group of fathers shows that the majority fall within the 25–39 age range, with 158,984 births recorded for fathers in this category. Thus, the vast majority of new fathers in the country are within this age bracket.

Fathers under 25 accounted for 16,398 births. This figure indicates a significant number of young families and early fatherhood.

Among fathers aged 40–59, 15,542 births were recorded. This group also holds a significant place in the overall statistics, reflecting a trend where the age of marriage and starting a family is broadening due to various factors.

Notably, it was reported that 162 men aged 60 and older became fathers, including 14 men over the age of 70. Naturally, this figure has sparked public interest.
