Uzbekistan emerges as Chevrolet Tracker production hub

Uzbekistan has become the main production center for the Chevrolet Tracker crossover in Eurasia. In China, production of this model was halted due to declining domestic demand. Previously, the Tracker was manufactured at the SAIC-GM Norsom plant, but the company decided to close this facility to focus on other market segments.

A month ago, General Motors announced the closure of its plant in Shenyang, northeastern China. This plant produced Buick GL8 minivans and Chevrolet Tracker crossovers for the Chinese market.

In Uzbekistan, the localization level of Chevrolet Tracker production has reached 50%. Beyond Eurasia, this model is also assembled in Latin America, specifically at plants in Brazil and Argentina. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
