After the match of Super League round 16 between "Bukhara" and OKMK (0:2), OKMK head coach Mirjalol Qosimov participated in a press conference and shared the following thoughts about the match.
— After a month-long break, we returned to football and today started the second round. Our goal was to start the second half of the season with a win. We are happy with today’s success. We tried to show a good game and most importantly, we got three points.
— If you could talk about the changes in your team before the second round?
— We didn’t make many transfers. We invited a goalkeeper and two defenders. We did not call a player for midfield and attack, because we are satisfied with the players in our squad.
— In the Cup, "Bukhara" knocked OKMK out of the tournament. Today, your team won in the championship.
— I remember, at that time we lost because of our own mistakes. But I never separate games; for us, both the Cup and the championship are important. In football, it’s impossible to always win. I don’t think we took revenge for that loss today — we just went out to play for three points.
— What is the reason for the departure of goalkeeper Khumoyunshokh Sayyotov?
— He wanted to leave because he did not have enough game time. You know, goalkeepers are not changed often, I understand that. Unfortunately, Khumoyunshokh could not show himself in our team. Therefore, we invited Hamidullo Abdunabiev in his place.
— Did the management set any tasks before the second round?
— The task has always been high, and I myself am demanding, so I always set high goals. If possible, we want to become champions. If destined, it will happen.
— What to do against teams that lie down and waste time?
— There’s an easy way: you have to score a quick goal. Then they will play football without wasting time.
