In the first half of 2025, 73,100 Cobalt cars were produced in Uzbekistan, Kursiv.uz reported. This is 0.2% higher compared to the same period last year.
Damas took second place among passenger cars by production volume. In six months, 46,000 Damas minivans rolled off the assembly line, up 18.1% from the first half of 2024.
The Tracker also made it into the top three most popular models, with 22,800 units produced in six months. Onix and the Kia brand were also in the top five.
Production of Chery cars decreased. Meanwhile, production of Haval-branded cars increased 6.5 times in half a year, reaching 3,500 units. In addition, Uzbekistan assembled 7,000 BYD cars in the first half of the year.
From January to June this year, a total of 185,600 passenger cars were produced in the country. Production increased by 4.6% year-on-year. Truck production during this period grew by 29.1%, nearly reaching 2,000 units.
Production of specialized passenger cars rose by 82.4%, totaling 23,400 units in six months.
