The World’s Narrowest Car: A Strange Invention by an Italian Mechanic
Unusual modifications of retro cars have recently attracted special interest among car enthusiasts. But this time, the news is connected to a completely different interpretation of the classic Fiat Panda, reported dzen.ru/hi-tech.mail.ru. Italian mechanic Andrea Marazzi decided to create the world’s narrowest car, and the project became a real sensation.

This completely new vehicle, built on the base of the 1993 Fiat Panda, measures only 50 centimeters in width and resembles cartoon characters more than a hatchback. The tiny car is single-seated and amazes everyone with its appearance and compactness.

According to Marazzi, work on the project lasted for more than a year. During that time, the mechanic preserved nearly all original parts of the 1993 model — including the headlights, doors, roof, and wheels. However, the biggest transformation happened to the body: it was cut in half and narrowed using a special method to create space for a single seat.

Technically, many of the car’s features are still functional — it can move, stop, and its turn signals and headlights work. However, due to lack of space under the body for a standard Fiat engine, Andrea Marazzi used a creative approach and installed an electric scooter motor and a 24-volt battery. As a result, the vehicle can reach a speed of 15 km/h and travel up to 25 kilometers.

Importantly, this mini-car is not officially registered and is not intended for use on city streets — it was created mainly as a display model for auto exhibitions and tech forums.

Car fans and experts are viewing this strange project as a creative interpretation and a modern take on classic models. At the same time, the project once again shows the power of imagination and passion for engineering.

In the coming days, photos and videos of this unusual car will undoubtedly spark big discussions on social media. Such inventions bring innovation and creativity to the traditional auto industry — mechanics and imagination know no bounds!
