Turkey’s new drama “Family Is a Test” (Aile Bir Imtihandir) is being named one of the most anticipated projects of the 2025–2026 season. The series brings to the forefront the complexities of family ties, past traumas, and moral choices. This was reported by kursiv.uz. reports .
According to available information, the project is planned to air on ATV. The premiere date is set for January 13, 2026, with episodes broadcast once a week in prime time. After the TV airing, episodes are also expected to appear on the channel’s digital platforms.
At the center of the story is a successful surgeon named Dogan. Years ago, he cut ties with his family and chose to build his career far from his hometown. However, a major family event forces him to return, and from that moment on, the past comes knocking again.
The return sets off a chain of old grudges, hidden secrets, and unresolved conflicts for Dogan. It becomes clear that the family that looks united from the outside is actually a very fragile system: each character has their own truths and their own guilt.
Throughout the series, the clash between personal success and family duty, the pressure of tradition and relatives’ expectations, as well as the high cost of breaking away from the past, are revealed step by step.
It is said that the leading roles will be played by well-known Turkish actors. Supporting characters—Dogan’s parents, brothers, and sisters—are also presented as figures that strongly influence how events unfold.
The project is noted to be produced by OGM Pictures. The script and direction stand out for their emotional tone, powerful dialogue, and gradual раскрытие of the characters. The series is reportedly planned as a long-running story, with the main focus on the characters’ inner transformations.
