The Fish Stayed in Kazakhstan: Lindemann’s Tashkent Concert Passed Without a Stir

Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann took the stage in Tashkent, but this time the concert went without his usual shock-value antics. According to RIA Novosti, at earlier shows in Kazakhstan he had thrown fish and pies toward the audience.
The Tashkent concert was held on January 9 at the Axelon Karting Centre venue. Organizers said nearly half of the audience came from abroad, with most visitors arriving from Russia.
Ticket prices started at 1.2 million soums, while entry to the VIP area was set at 4 million soums. Only adults were admitted to the concert.
The venue, designed for 8,000 people, was filled to nearly 80%. During the show, Lindemann kept energizing the crowd with “Davaй, davaй!”, and in the end thanked them with “Danke, спасибо!”.
Till Lindemann is a German musician, poet, and vocalist best known as the frontman of Rammstein. He is famous for his powerful performance style and provocative stage imagery, and he also works on his solo project Lindemann and publishes poetry collections.
