The Uzum national digital ecosystem transferred almost 1.2 trillion soums (over $94.8 million) to the Uzbek budget in 2024, becoming one of the largest private taxpayers in the country. The ecosystem ranked second among private companies in Uzbekistan in terms of tax payments. At the same time, Uzum's tax payments increased by 28% during the year. This provided 0.3% of the Uzbek budget's revenues.
At the same time, the ecosystem's tax deductions increased by 28% during the year, providing 0.3% of all Uzbek budget revenues.
By the end of 2024, every third citizen of Uzbekistan used the services of the Uzum ecosystem. More than 11 thousand employees work on the ecosystem's products throughout the country, and Uzum is actively creating jobs in the IT sector, as well as providing opportunities for professional growth for young people in all regions of the country. Last year, the company created about 3,000 new jobs. This does not include jobs at Uzum partners.
In addition, new jobs are also being created among partners who use Uzum services and infrastructure to develop their businesses. These are entrepreneurs selling goods on the Uzum Market national marketplace, restaurants, cafes, shops cooperating with the Uzum Tezkor delivery service, and others. Thus, with the development of the digital ecosystem, new opportunities are emerging for the development of small and medium-sized businesses throughout the country.
