A new musical collaboration is making waves in Uzbekistan’s showbiz: blogger Maryam Tillayeva and rapper Massa have released a duet called “Cash.” Maryam, the granddaughter of Uzbekistan’s first president Islam Karimov and daughter of Lola Karimova-Tillayeva, sang in Uzbek for the first time and adopted the stage name Masha Tilla for her debut.
The release of “Cash” quickly attracted attention on social media. While the songwriter is still unknown, fans are actively discussing the unique style and creative partnership behind the track. Maryam, previously known as Mashatilly on Instagram, has now entered the Uzbek music scene as Masha Tilla.
The music video opens with Maryam appearing alongside her husband. There are clear references to 50Cent’s iconic “In Da Club” video: Massa makes a surprising upside-down entrance, echoing the American rapper’s style, and this is also mirrored on the screen behind Massa.
Another notable appearance in the clip is businessman Sanjar Karimov, also known as Sanjik. This debut Uzbek-language duet has quickly become a hot topic among fans and adds a new energy to the country’s entertainment scene.
