Air Purifiers Exempted from Customs Duty

New regulations have been introduced in Uzbekistan to exempt air monitoring and dust purification technologies from customs duties. This measure was approved by a decree from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The list includes equipment for special ecological laboratories, automated monitoring stations, and waste control devices. Now, observation posts, dust and gas purification devices, local water treatment facilities, as well as household air purifiers, can be imported by both citizens and entrepreneurs without customs duties.

These changes are expected to significantly reduce the cost of household purifiers. Previously, they were subject to a 20% customs duty, with a minimum fee of 3 US dollars.
