Barcelona president Joan Laporta shared his impressions of the Spanish Super Cup victory and the team’s performance on the pitch. According to him, the squad is playing in full harmony and at a high professional level, which is reflected in the results.
Laporta said he watched the final with great interest and admiration, stressing that despite the players’ young age, the team has built excellent chemistry and a strong family-like atmosphere. He added that the result also showcased the team’s level.
“Our team is playing outstanding football. It was a beautiful final. We are a big family. The players are young, the squad is very well-balanced — the result speaks for itself,” Laporta said on Movistar.
In his view, head coach Hansi Flick and his coaching staff are the main architects of the team’s success. Laporta stated that under their leadership the club aims to repeat last season’s achievements and reach even higher results.
“Hansi Flick and his coaching staff are doing an excellent job — they are the architects of this success. Our goal is to repeat last season’s achievements and achieve an even better result,” Laporta said.
According to the president, it was difficult to name a favourite in the final between Barcelona and Real Madrid. Even though the opponent was in slightly better form, when they equalised the score the team became a bit nervous but did not give up. This is seen as a natural part of a final and makes the match even more exciting for fans.
Laporta therefore described the win as an important and inspiring moment for the team and expressed confidence in Barcelona’s future plans.
