Starting from early 2026, a pilot project for a new tax management system will be implemented in the Namangan region. This initiative is outlined in a resolution by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The primary goal of the project is to significantly reduce tax debt and ensure timely tax collection. According to data from the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, as of mid-July this year, the number of individuals with outstanding tax debts amounted to 369,000.
Most of the debt pertains to land and property taxes. By October 1, 2026, the results of this pilot project will be analyzed, and proposals for its implementation in other regions will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
Additionally, from 2026 onwards, taxes derived from renting out real estate will be directed to local budgets. For instance, this measure is expected to increase the Namangan region's budget by 11.3 billion soums.
