According to Khodjayev, Uzbekistan plans to attract $5 billion in investments from Russia next year. "This constitutes an important foundation that should yield significant results in the form of new production facilities, jobs, and tax revenues," the Deputy Prime Minister stated.

As of early December, the number of enterprises established in Uzbekistan with Russian capital participation has exceeded 3,100. Throughout the year, 300 new enterprises have been launched.

This year, the trade turnover between the two countries is expected to reach $12 billion. By early November, this figure had surpassed $10 billion, while last year the total turnover had exceeded $11 billion.
