75% of Uzbekistan-Russia transactions conducted in national currencies

Seventy-five percent of mutual transactions between Uzbekistan and Russia are being conducted in national currencies. This was announced by Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister, Jamshid Khodjayev, during an intergovernmental commission meeting.

“In the context of geopolitical volatility, Denis Valentinovich (Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov — ed.) and I are continuously discussing this issue: the stability of payment infrastructure and digital services has become one of the main topics,” Khodjayev said, as quoted by "RIA Novosti". He described this outcome as a significant achievement, emphasizing the need to strengthen it through the integration of payment channels and systems.

Khodjayev also stated that the portfolio of joint projects between Uzbekistan and Russia has exceeded $55 billion.
