Uzbekistan's gold and foreign exchange reserves reached $61.2 billion

As of early December 2025, Uzbekistan's gold and foreign exchange reserves reached a record-high $61.2 billion. This was reported in the Central Bank's statement.

The reserves increased by 3.2 percent over the course of a month, and since the beginning of the year, they have grown by nearly 49 percent. During the month, the physical volume of precious metals reached 12.2 million troy ounces, with their monetary equivalent valued at $50.8 billion.

Foreign currency reserves amounted to $9.8 billion, compared to $10.9 billion in the previous month. It is worth noting that in October, Uzbekistan's Central Bank became one of the largest gold buyers in the world.

During this period, the regulator purchased 9 tons of precious metals. Over the first ten months of this year, Uzbekistan exported approximately $9.9 billion worth of gold.

In the same period of 2024, the export volume amounted to $6.6 billion.
