Over 1,000 Football Players Caught in Gambling Scandal

Turkey Football Federation took disciplinary actions involving players due to gambling scandal
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has referred the cases of 1,024 football players, caught gambling, to the disciplinary committee. Due to the large number of suspensions, TFF has postponed the matches of the Second and Third Leagues for two weeks.

Meanwhile, Super League and First League matches will proceed as planned. To address squad shortages, TFF has initiated urgent negotiations with FIFA.

The federation has requested an additional 15-day transfer period in conjunction with the winter transfer window. TFF stated that the investigation is ongoing and that it may extend depending on new findings.
