Islombek Ismoilov Announces Departure From Youth Team

The head coach of Uzbekistan's youth national team, Islombek Ismoilov, announced on his Facebook page that he is stepping down from the national team. "This journey was not just a job for me — it was an honor, a responsibility, and a test bestowed by Allah.

For three years, we stood side by side with this team, held intense training sessions, celebrated joyful victories, and endured heavy defeats. We were together in both good and bad times," said Ismoilov.

This statement came after his team lost 3-2 to Italy in the Round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup. The former coach expressed his gratitude to Uzbek supporters for their trust and encouragement.

He emphasized that his players felt the fans' love at every moment. Islombek Ismoilov was born on July 19, 1993, in Margilan.

He began his coaching career at the "Yazyovan" club in Fergana. Under his leadership, Uzbekistan's U-17 national team became the champion of Asia.

Earlier this summer, he signed a contract with the "Neftchi" football club.
