With one round remaining in the 2025 Super League championship, Fergana's "Neftchi" team secured the title ahead of schedule by defeating "Qizilqum" with a score of 4-1. This marks the sixth championship victory in the history of "Neftchi" and the first title reclaimed after a 24-year hiatus.
The club last won the championship in 2001. In the match against "Qizilqum," "Neftchi" achieved a convincing win at their home ground.
In the opening minutes of the match, Odilov's double led the hosts to a 2-0 lead by the 19th minute. In the second half, the visitors managed to reduce the deficit, but "Neftchi" regained control and completed the game with a decisive score.
"Neftchi" accumulated 64 points, becoming an unreachable leader for its closest rivals, thus securing its sixth championship title. This victory holds special significance for the Fergana club, as it is their first Super League win since 2001.
