Earlier, the Norwegian specialist was regarded as the first choice for the Red Devils’ board, but the situation has changed. According to journalist Mike Keegan, Michael Carrick has now become the favourite. A final decision has not yet been made, but unless something unexpected happens, the English coach will lead the team until the end of the season. The new head coach’s name is expected to be announced on Monday.
As a reminder, the club recently parted ways with Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese coach was temporarily replaced by Darren Fletcher, under whom the team played two matches.
