Ballack defends Karl over Real Madrid comments

Former Germany midfielder Michael Ballack reacted to comments by 17-year-old Bayern Munich forward Lennart Karl about his desire to play for Real Madrid. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
The young footballer’s statement sparked harsh criticism and hate on social media. Karl later had to apologize and also disabled comments on his pages.
“If you’re asked about your dreams, it’s perfectly natural to talk about them. I think, in context, the meaning of those words is harmless,” DAZN quoted Ballack as saying.
Earlier, Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany also said that the young player had apologized.
In the 2025/2026 season, Karl played 20 senior-level matches, scoring 6 goals and providing 2 assists.
