The Uzbekistan U-18 women's football team started its CAFA tournament campaign with a draw. The national team, led by Viktoriya Sirota, drew 0-0 against Tajikistan.
The team displayed solid defense and a stable performance. The match was held at the National Football Center.
Uzbekistan fielded an optimal lineup, with Dekanbayeva as the team captain. The game started calmly and under control, as the team sought to dominate the midfield.
Sirota implemented a strategy balancing wing attacks and swift pressing. The starting lineup included: Halkulova, Rahmatullayeva, Baxtiyarova, Kushatova, Xamidova, Yusupova, Mamatliyeva, Alikhonova, Abdulazizova, Akbarova, and Dekanbayeva (c).
The substitutes were: Nabiyeva, Dakhova, Matqurbonova, Egamberdiyeva, Quldasheva, Abdusalimova, Amanbayeva, and Khayrullayeva. Uzbekistan began the game actively, quickly gaining control of the ball.
Pressure was increased from the flanks, but Tajikistan's tight defense managed to slow down the pace. In the 20th minute, Yusupova approached the goal following a pass from Mamatliyeva, but her shot went over the target.
In the second half, Uzbekistan intensified its pressing. Dekanbayeva repeatedly launched attacks from the left wing, while Abdulazizova attempted long-distance shots.
Tajikistan responded with counterattacks, but Halkulova confidently handled the situations near the goal. In the final minutes, Sirota made tactical substitutions to strengthen the midfield.
However, neither team managed to create decisive opportunities. As a result, the score remained 0-0, and Uzbekistan secured its first point in the CAFA tournament.
