Positive update on PSG goalkeeper Safonov’s injury

PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov picked up an injury after the Intercontinental Cup final and came under the supervision of the club’s medical staff. In that match, he saved four shots in the penalty shootout but injured his hand. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
Now the situation has improved: the latest tests on Safonov’s hand have shown good results. According to Sport24, the Russian keeper will return to PSG’s full training group in the coming days.
As a reminder, on Tuesday PSG lost 1–2 to Sporting in the Champions League. After the match in France, PSG’s first-choice goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier faced heavy criticism.
PSG will play their next match away to Auxerre on Friday, January 23.
