Central bank announces dollar rate for April 21

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has announced new foreign currency exchange rates effective April 21, 2026. Major currencies are continuing a downward trend against the Uzbek soum. The US dollar fell by 31.13 soums to 12,097.33, the Euro dropped by 70.59 soums to 14,233.72, and the British pound decreased by 57.85 soums to 16,354.38. In contrast, the Russian ruble saw a slight increase, rising by 1.49 soums to 160.53.
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan announced new values of foreign currencies against the soum, effective from April 21, 2026. According to the official data presented, major foreign currencies continue their downward trend against the national currency.
The official exchange rate of the US dollar decreased by 31.13 soums, reaching 12,097.33 soums. The euro's value also decreased significantly, by 70.59 soums, and was set at 14,233.72 soums. The British pound sterling, meanwhile, fell by 57.85 soums to 16,354.38 soums.
The Russian ruble, however, increased by 1.49 soums, reaching 160.53 soums. The Swiss franc was recorded at 15,481.61 soums (-18.02), the Chinese yuan at 1,774.40 soums (-3.18), and the Japanese yen at 76.12 soums (-0.14). These rates serve as the basis for customs payments and accounting.
