An 8-year-old student from Navoi set a record in English

The result achieved by a talented child in the city of Navoi is attracting public attention. Mukhammadali Yusupov, a 2nd-grade student at School No. 4, received a B2 level national certificate in English.
According to the regional Department of Preschool and School Education, although Mukhammadali is only 8 years old, he has achieved results typical of adults. Thus, he achieved a record result in obtaining a national English language certificate in his age category.
He has been studying English regularly through extracurricular activities for almost three years.
Over the past six months, he has been taught by Shakhzod Bobonazarov, a specialist at the training center. According to his mentor, Mukhammadali managed to obtain a B2 level national certificate on the very first attempt.
"He received the certificate on the very first attempt." This is one of the highest indicators not only for his age but also among the overall results," says teacher Shakhzod Bobonazarov.
Experts state that level B2 is a high level that allows for the independent, fluent use of the language. This clearly demonstrates the level of knowledge and diligence of a young student.
For information, in the process of admission to higher educational institutions in our country, the highest score is given to applicants with a B2 certificate in a foreign language. Additionally, a requirement has been introduced for foreign language teachers working in general education schools to hold a national or equivalent international certificate of at least level B2.
Previously, this requirement was set to take effect on January 1, 2026. However, for some reasons, its implementation has been extended until the beginning of the 2026-2027 academic year.
Such an achievement by Mukhammadali will undoubtedly increase the interest in acquiring knowledge among young people and serve as an example for other students.
