Factories to Reduce Waste by 50%

The National Ecology Committee has mandated all industrial enterprises to reduce harmful emissions by half. This requirement must be fulfilled by December 1, 2025.

Enterprises classified under categories I and II are required to install purification equipment and automatic monitoring stations by July 1, 2026. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in a fivefold increase in environmental pollution compensation fees.

If the requirement to reduce emissions is not met, the enterprise’s operations may be suspended for a period of ten days. In the most severe cases, the Committee may initiate a proposal to shut down the enterprise in accordance with the Law on Environmental Control.
